Yorkshire Bank Loan

Despite not offering the best rates, your Yorkshire Bank loan will come with sparkling service. The site is a joy to use, and terms are as broad as any other bank; but the fact remains you'll pay for the privilege. Watch out for excellent deals on business loans; if the flexibility of their business products was applied to their personal loans, then this would be a true world-beater.

Yorkshire Bank Loan examples (correct at publication date, uninsured):

  Monthly Repayment APR
£3000 across 2 years £146.25 16.7%
£5000 across 5 years £109.17 11.8%
£10000 across 7 years £161.97 9.6%

It's a real shame that the Yorkshire Bank loan rates can't match the exceptional rates offered by the supermarkets and internet-only operations, because they are clearly friendlier and have thought hard about the customer's needs.

The remarkable Yorkshire Bank loan calculator is the only one we've seen which lets you compare multiple options onscreen and even show what borrowing a bit more or a bit less can do. It also lets you properly compare the costs of payment protection. If you're deciding what car to buy, or where to go on holiday on the basis of what you can afford to borrow, all this is very impressive indeed. The terms are as broad as anyone else offers (£500-£25,000; six months to 7 years), and everything is very honest and clear. You can even come back to an application later if you want to stop filling in forms. This is what service should be like.

Alas the Yorkshire Bank loan rates aren't world-beating (16.7% at the lower amounts) and that's a shame; but if you rate customer service above cash (unlikely when you're borrowing!) then this is a worthy option.
By the way, if you're considering a business loan, the Yorkshire Bank has some very innovative products which let you pay what you went you want- literally. Business cashflows are even more unpredictable than personal money, so do give them some consideration.
